Bantwal, Feb 26: A 17-year-old student from Farangipete, studying in the second year of a pre-university college in Mangaluru, has gone missing.
His shoes and mobile phone were found near the railway tracks close to his home.
The missing student has been identified as Diganth, son of Padmanabha, a resident of Kidebetto near Farangipete. Diganth had informed his family on February 25 that he was going to a temple in the evening. However, he neither went to the temple nor returned home, leading to his disappearance.
During the search, his shoes and mobile phone were discovered near the railway tracks.
A case has been registered at the Bantwal Rural police station, and investigations are underway.
