New Delhi, Feb 28: AAP MP Raghav Chadha on Friday welcomed the launch of affordable canteens at airports, praising it as a major step toward making air travel more accessible for common citizens.
Sharing pictures of the newly inaugurated subsidized canteen at Chennai airport, Chadha expressed gratitude to those who supported his call for reasonably priced food at airports.

“Glad to see affordable food canteens being set up at Airports. Grateful to everyone who supported my demand. Every drop together makes the ocean rise,” he posted on X.
The canteen at Chennai’s T1 domestic terminal offers budget-friendly refreshments, including water bottles for Rs 10, tea for Rs 10, and coffee for Rs 20.
The first Udaan Yatri Cafe was launched in December at Kolkata airport, with the ministry of civil aviation planning more such outlets at AAI-run terminals. The initiative gained momentum after Chadha raised concerns in the Rajya Sabha over inflated food prices at airports, urging the government to regulate costs.
