Mangaluru, Mar 1: MBA department, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), AIMIT, Beeri Campus, organised a National-level Undergraduate Management fest, 'Insignia 2025’. The theme for the fest was: ‘Infinium: The infinite journey of innovation’ on February 25. 20 teams participated from various colleges across the states. The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony that set the tone for the day.
Dean, Dr Rajani Suresh in her welcome address, spoke about how DeepSeek is making headlines revolutionising AI. She introduced the dignitaries and welcomed the gathering.













Ratheesh R, principal Staff Training College, Karnataka Bank, former general manager, Union Bank of India, was the chief guest and Gautam Pai, chairman ICAI, Mangaluru, was the guest of Honour. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, vice chancellor, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) was the president for the event and Dr Kiran Cotha SJ, director, AIMIT were present.
The chief guest addressed the gathering, stating the importance of knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be geared for the industry and also the changing trends of the banking industry.
Gautam Pai, the guest of honour, stated the importance of participating in fests and extracurricular activities along with academics. He insisted on students being updated in current technology.
In his presidential remarks, Dr Praveen Martis SJ, was very insightful, stating the importance of knowledge, skills and wisdom (KSW). Above all is wisdom, which means doing the right things and taking the right decisions in a situation, and a person should have the right attitude to reach greater altitudes.
The fest provided a platform for undergraduates to showcase their analytical, strategic, leadership and filmmaking skills through seven different management events: best management team, business quiz, best manager, human resource, finance, marketin the cast and producer of the movie ‘Middle Class Family’. Sharan Chilimbi was the chief guest for the occasion. Dr Kiran Cotha, director of AIMIT, addressed the gathering. The dignitaries distributed the various prizes for all the events and also the overall championship.
The overall winners for Insignia 2025 were Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management.
