Live Cricket Score : India Inches Away from Third Straight Defeat

Daijiworld Media Network

Perth, Jan 15 : Indian cricket team is just inches away from third straight and shameful defeat against Australia here at Perth, just after luch session of third day's play.

With 208 runs deficit of first innings, though Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli showed some resistance on the day 3 morning, Dravid's 'bowled out' jinx continued when he was clean bowled by Starc.

India captain, whose place in India XI is in question now, failed again and was ouot for 2.

Kohli who was the top scorer in the fist innings has once again showed guts. But with Vinay Kumar also gone, rescue from an innings defeat looks impossible now. Zaheer also is out for duck.

Earlier, when the day's play started, it all looked rosy for India when Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli were going well, but once Dravid got out, it was back to square one. Mahendra Singh Dhoni came and went, which has become a routine affair these days in test matches. Vinay Kumar survived till lunch. The only point of interest left in the game is whether Virat can get to a ton and if India can stave off an innings defeat.

How the mighty have fallen! An Aussie victory looks a formality and if you have just got up on a festive Sunday, you may not want to miss out on the last rites. We will be bringing you the final stages of this Perth test, starting at 10:40 IST. Do stay tuned.
