Gannaur, Mar 6: A Class-12 student tragically ended her life by jumping in front of a Vande Bharat Express train in Gannaur on Wednesday, with her family alleging that she was sexually abused and harassed by three youths from her village.

According to the victim’s father, persistent harassment led his daughter to take the extreme step. Acting on his complaint, the Government Railway Police (GRP) have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act.

Authorities confirmed that the girl’s body was sent to Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College for Women in Khanpur Kalan, where a medical board will conduct a post-mortem examination.
