Srinivas University hosts model-making competition to showcase student innovation

Mangaluru, Mar 6: With the blessing of Dr A Shama Rao, founder of Srinivas University and under the direction of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro chancellor of Srinivas University.

In accordance with the chancellor and pro chancellor's directive to hold events to improve students' abilities and skills in the institutions the department of medical imaging technology, Institute of allied health sciences organised a model-making on March 5. The ceremony was held on the Open Bhavana, Mukka campus of Srinivas University.

The theme for the event was Model making and 41 teams participated in this event and displayed their talent in making models on various topics such as heart lung machine, angiography model, reflex arc, heart, lung, various crime scene, mri machine, kidney, dialysis machine and optic error models.

Dignitaries present for the programme were Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy, dean, IAHS.

Judges for the event were Dr Juby Mary Chacko, dean, SUIND, Dr Vishrutha, HOD, SIMS & RC and Melrida, assistant professor, SIMS & RC.

The event was organised by the Savin K Vidyan, course coordinator and other professor in the department of medical imaging technology.

Results for this event are as follows:

First prize – Aradraanil, Aarti Thombare, Fatima Misna, Sneha Patgar, Depak PD, department of PFT

Second prize – Rafiya, Nayana, departmentof AOTT.

Third prize –Dhanwith R Acahrya, Riya Mol Biju, Abhil K Dev, Abhin T M departmentof FSC.

The prizes were distributed by judges and dean of SIAHS Prof Pavana Krishnamurthy.
