Udupi, Mar 6: Manipal Academy of Higher Education is all set to host the International Women’s Day celebrations on 8th March 2025, at KMC Greens, Manipal from 5 pm onwards.

The event is based on the theme “Accelerate Action” to celebrate women and acknowledge their hardships beyond boundaries. The event will also emphasise the need to push boundaries and inspire by establishing an inclusive and fair society.

The esteemed chief guest Shobha Mishra Ghosh, director & head Govt, Affairs & Policy, GE Healthcare, India & South Asia will grace the event. The ceremony will be presided over by Vasanti R Pai, trustee of MAHE Trust. Indira S Ballal, a distinguished philanthropist, and Kusuma Venkatesh, a renowned educationist, will be the guests of honour.

The event will also witness a soulful “A Tribute to Ustad Zakir Hussain” tabla concert by the acclaimed maestros Pt Ramkumar Mishra and Pt Rahul Kumar Mishra from New Delhi. The event will highlight the remarkable achievements of women from all walks of life and will leave an impact in the minds of the people to uplift and empower women.
