Mangaluru, Mar 9: The Women's Day celebration at Holy Family Church, Omzoor, was a joyous and an enriching event organised by Stree Sanghatan Omzoor unit. The day began with a solemn Holy Eucharistic celebration, followed by a lively gathering of around 100 women from various wards of the parish.

The programme was presided over by parish priest Fr William Menezes. Distinguished guests on stage included Arthur D’Souza, vice president of the parish council; Sr Luciana, superior of St Charles Borromeo Convent; Dafney Lewis, secretary of the parish council; Elroy Saldanha, commissions coordinator; Vinaya Braggs, president of Stree Sanghatan; and Milly D’Souza, secretary of Stree Sanghatan.

Arthur D’Souza addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of women’s contributions to society. Fr William Menezes delivered a special Women’s Day message, emphasising empowerment and appreciation for women. The event featured vibrant performances, including songs, dances, engaging games, and a comedy play, creating an atmosphere of joy and laughter.

The women of the parish had an enjoyable and meaningful celebration, making the event a memorable occasion for all.
