Mangaluru, Mar 9: A group of enthusiastic kindergarten students from St Aloysius International School, Harihar on March 7 embarked on an exciting outing to explore different religious places and the local police station.

The students visited places of worship. At each location, they were warmly welcomed by the respective community leaders, who shared insights into their faith's traditions and customs. The students actively participated in the discussions, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating their curiosity about the diverse faiths.

Following the interfaith tour, the students visited the local police station, Harihar, where they were greeted by Manjunath Koppalur PSI, town police station, Harihar. The students learnt about the role of the police in maintaining law and order, and they even got to try on miniature police hats.

The outing was a resounding success, with the students returning to school with big smiles and newfound knowledge. The experience not only broadened their understanding of different faiths but also instilled in them a sense of respect and appreciation for the community services provided by the police.

"We believe that such outings are essential for our students' holistic development," said Fr Eric Mathias, the director of St Aloysius Institutions, Harihar. "By exposing them to different faiths and community services, we hope to raise empathetic and responsible citizens who value diversity and inclusivity," he added.

St Aloysius International School plans to organise more such outings in the future, further enriching the students' learning experience.
