Odisha CM Majhi claims presence of 3,738 Bangladeshi infiltrators in state

Bhubaneswar, Mar 11: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has claimed that 3,738 Bangladeshi infiltrators are residing illegally in various parts of the state.

Speaking in the Assembly, CM Majhi stated that these individuals have been identified through official surveys and verification processes. He assured that necessary steps are being taken to address the issue as per legal provisions.

The state government has reportedly initiated discussions with the Centre regarding their deportation. Authorities are also keeping a close watch on their activities to ensure law and order is maintained.

Meanwhile, opposition parties have demanded further clarity on the identification process and urged the government to take swift action.
