Ranchi, Mar 11: Jharkhand’s notorious gangster Aman Sahu was shot dead in a police encounter, marking a major breakthrough in the state’s crackdown on organized crime.
According to officials, the encounter took place during a special operation to nab Sahu, who was wanted in multiple cases of extortion, murder, and criminal activities. When confronted, he allegedly opened fire on the police, prompting retaliation that led to his death.
Authorities have termed the encounter a significant success in curbing crime in the region, while further investigations are underway to dismantle his remaining network.
