Prajwal Devaraj, Akshatha Pandavapura win Best Actor & Actress at State Film Awards for 2020

Bengaluru, Mar 11: The 2020 Karnataka State Film Awards have been announced, with the film Pinki Elli being awarded the Best Film title. The second and third best films were Varna Patala and Hariva Nadige Maiyella Kaalu respectively.

Prajwal Devaraj was honoured with the Best Actor award for his performance in Gentleman, while Akshatha Pandavapura won the Best Actress award for her role in Pinki Elli. Ramesh Pandith received the Best Supporting Actor award for his performance in Thale Danda, and K S Manjulamma won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Dantapurana.

The Best Popular Entertaining Film award for 2020 went to Four Walls, starring Achyuth Kumar. Produced by T Vishwanath Naik and directed by Sangamesh S Sajnner, this film will get a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a 100-gram silver medal.

  • Best actress: Akshatha Pandavapura, Pinki Elli
  • Best debut film: Pinki Elli, directed by Prithvi Konanuru
  • Second best film: Varna Patala, directed by Chetan Mundadi
  • Third best film: Hariva Nadige Maiyella Kaalu
  • Best children’s film: Padaka
  • Best supporting actor: Ramesh Pandith, Thale Danda
  • Best supporting actress: KS Manjulamma, Dantapurana
