Glowing tributes paid to Late Shobha Dayananda Bontra at Gujarat Billava Sangha meet

Mumbai (RBI), Mar 12: Glowing tributes were paid to the late Shobha Dayananda Bontra, a renowned social worker and religious figure, at a special ceremony held at the Gujarat Billava Sangha’s Shri Brahmbaidarkala Sabha Hall in Baroda. The event was organised on Sunday by the Gayatri Parivar, with Umaben Pandya, a respected member of the Gayatri Parivar, leading the Gayatri Yajna and Shanti Homam, praying for the eternal peace of her soul.

Shobha Dayananda Bontra, an ardent follower of Gayatri Shaktipith Baroda, was also a key member of the Tulu Sangha Baroda and the Gujarat Billava Sangha. She passed away last August, leaving behind a legacy of service and devotion.

As per her wishes, a significant donation was made by her family to the Gujarat Billava Sangha. The donation, valued at one-and-a-half cr rupees, consisted of rooms, which were named Lakshmi Amma Kutir in honour of her grandmother. The donation was formally presented to the Gujarat Billava Sangha by Dayananda Bontra, the honorary president of the Sangha.

The ceremony was attended by Chirag Dayanand Bontra, daughter-in-law Maya Chirag Bontra, president of Gujarat Billava Sangha Vishwanath G Poojari, general secretary Vasu V Suvarna, treasurer Sudesh V Kotiyan, along with other office-bearers of the Sangha.
