Mangaluru, Mar 13: A fire broke out at the rear section of Krishna Heritage on 8th Cross Road, Mannagudda, on March 12.

The blaze started around 11 am following an AC explosion, which caused the flames to spread to the tiled roof. Thick smoke engulfed the area as the structure burned down completely.

Firefighters from the Kadri fire station responded immediately, but as their water supply ran out, another unit from Pandeshwar arrived to continue the operation until 2 pm. To aid the firefighting efforts, electricity in the area was temporarily cut off by Mescom linemen.

Krishna Heritage was not a residential property but was rented out for events. Fire officials stated that no emergency safety measures were in place at the venue, which led to the rapid spread of the fire.
