Shiv Sena’s Manisha Kayande slams Owaisi for remarks on Savarkar

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 15: Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande launched a sharp attack on AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for his comments on Vinayak Savarkar, accusing him of repeatedly tarnishing the freedom fighter’s image.

Kayande asserted that some individuals deliberately create controversy around Savarkar, urging Owaisi and his party to study history. She also highlighted the ongoing legal case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over similar remarks.

Referring to Shiv Sena’s alliance dynamics, she urged Uddhav Thackeray to clarify his stand, stating, "Uddhav ji should distance himself from Congress over such remarks."

Owaisi had earlier stirred controversy by alleging that the RSS disrespected Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and questioned PM Modi’s endorsement of the film Chhawa despite considering Golwalkar his guru.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut compared the BJP government to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, claiming it was even more oppressive.

Hitting back, Kayande remarked, "Raut should revisit history. Under Aurangzeb’s rule, dissenters had their tongues cut out, but today, despite making controversial statements, he remains safe."
