Giridih, Mar 16: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his three children before taking his own life in Maheshliti village under Pirtand police station limits, Jharkhand's Giridih district, early Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as 36-year-old Sanaul Ansari, his daughters Afreen Parveen (12) and Zaiba Naz (8), and his son Safaul Ansari (6).

The horrifying discovery was made in the morning when concerned neighbours, noticing no movement in Sanaul's house during Sehri (pre-dawn Ramzan meal), knocked on his door. Upon receiving no response, they entered to find Sanaul hanging and his three children lying dead nearby.
Khokhara police, along with Dumri SDPO Sumit Prasad, rushed to the scene and sent the bodies to Giridih Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Preliminary investigation suggests that Sanaul strangled his children before ending his life.
Sanaul, a mason who also ran a small ration and clothing shop, was alone at home as his wife had gone to her maternal house in Jamdha two days earlier. She returned in shock after learning of the tragedy.
The motive behind the shocking act remains unclear. “We are probing all possible angles and will question family members to determine the cause,” said SDPO Sumit Prasad.
The heart-wrenching incident has left the entire community in deep sorrow as investigations continue.
