Maharashtra goverrnor attends Ramadan Iftar organised by UAE Consulate

Mumbai (RBI), Mar 16: Maharashtra governor C P Radhakrishnan attended a Ramadan Iftar party organised by the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Mumbai on Sun March 16.

The Ramadan Iftar was accompanied by an interfaith dialogue on the theme 'Tolerance and coexistence'.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor praised the United Arab Emirates saying that UAE is a place where the whole world is living peacefully and where every religious congregation has been allowed to build its places of worship.

"UAE has shown that if humanity is to be saved, we must know how to live together," said the governor.

Consul general of UAE in Mumbai Abdullah Husein Almarzooqi, secretary to the governor Dr Prashant Narnaware, regional passport officer Rajesh Gawande and leaders of various religious communities were present.
