Terrorist neutralized in encounter with security forces in Handwara

Srinagar, Mar 18: A terrorist was killed in a gunfight with security forces in Handwara, Jammu and Kashmir, during an operation conducted late Monday night, officials confirmed.

Acting on intelligence inputs, security personnel launched a search operation in the region. The encounter broke out when the terrorist opened fire on the forces, prompting retaliation.

After an intense exchange of gunfire, the militant was neutralized.

Authorities are conducting a search operation to rule out the presence of any additional threats in the area. Security has been tightened to prevent any further incidents.
