New Delhi, Mar 20: Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari emphasized that the government's extensive infrastructure development initiatives will significantly strengthen India's logistics sector, enabling it to compete with global giants like China and the US.

Addressing a gathering, Gadkari highlighted key projects, including expansion of highways, expressways, multimodal logistics parks, and port connectivity, which aim to reduce transportation costs and enhance overall efficiency. He stated that the government's focus on modernizing road networks and freight corridors would bolster India’s global trade position and attract greater foreign investment.

The minister also underlined India's commitment to adopting sustainable and green technologies in infrastructure projects, ensuring eco-friendly and cost-effective logistics solutions.
