Malpe woman assualt incident: Karnataka State Women’s Commission seeks report

Udupi, Mar 20: Taking serious note of the incident of the Malpe incident the Karnataka State Women's Commission has directed the Udupi district police chief to investigate the case as per legal procedures and take strict action against those responsible.

The Commission has also instructed the superintendent of police to submit a detailed report on the action taken at the earliest.

Following reports published in newspapers regrading the incident, the Women’s Commission has strongly condemned the inhumane act against the woman. The Commission's secretary, in a letter to the SP, has demanded a comprehensive report on the incident and the measures taken by the authorities.
