Governor presents MCA annual award to Karnataka Sporting Association

Mumbai, Mar 20: Maharashtra governor C P Radhakrishnan presented the annual awards of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) at the MCA Club Ground in BKC, Mumbai.

On the occasion, the governor felicitated the family members of late cricketer Padmakar Shivalkar.

The Ranji Trophy-winning team for 2023 and the senior women's T20-winning team were also honoured at the event.

The governor presented the Lifetime Achievement Awards to MIG Club founder Pravin Barve, former cricketer Diana Edulji, and former cricket administrator Prof Ratnakar Shetty. However, the fourth recipient, Dilip Vengsarkar, was unable to attend.

The governor also felicitated Karnataka Sporting Association representative Jaya A Shetty, Victory Cricket Club, organisers of the Police Shield tournament, Vasai Colts Inter-School Tournament organisers, Bombay Gymkhana, Mumbai School Sports Association, Dadar Parsi Zoroastrian Cricket Club, and other sports veterans.

Minister of information technology and cultural affairs Ashish Shelar, Mumbai Cricket Association president Ajinkya Naik, Milind Narvekar, along with present and former cricketers and administrators, were present at the event.
