Rachana awards 2023-25: Nominations open for outstanding Catholic achievers

Mangaluru, Mar 21: RACHANA - Catholic chamber of commerce & industry, established in 1998, has instituted five 'Rachana Awards' to honour outstanding individual Catholics originating from the Mangalore Diocese who have excelled in their respective fields.

The five awards will be presented in the following fields:

1. Rachana agriculturist

2. Rachana entrepreneur

3. Rachana professional (doctor, advocate, engineer, chartered accountant)

4. Rachana NRI entrepreneur/professional

5. Rachana outstanding woman (entrepreneur/professional/agriculturist).

Each award consists of a title, a citation, a memento, and a public honour. Applications/nominations/recommendations, along with a photograph, should reach the office on or before May 31.

A panel of 25 jury members will scrutinize the nominations/recommendations and select the most deserving candidates.

The 'RACHANA' award ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 5, at 6.00 pm at Milagres Jubilee Hall, Mangaluru, in the presence of dignitaries and eminent personalities, and will be presided over by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore.
