Mangaluru: Expert PU College hosts grand Graduation Day

Mangaluru, Mar 21: Expert PU College, Kodialbail, hosted its grand Graduation Day on Friday, March 21 at Expodium. The event commenced on a high note with the rendition of the college anthem, setting the stage for a day filled with pride and celebration.

The ceremony was illuminated by the symbolic lighting of the graduation lamp, initiated by Ankush N Nayak, director of IT at the Expert Group of Institutions. The ceremonial flame was then passed to the class representatives of the graduating batches, accompanied by the soothing melody of Deepa Belegona. Adding to the day's highlights, the renowned Ustaad Khan unveiled the college's Annual Magazine, Explore 2024-25, a testament to the institution's achievements and creativity.

In his keynote address, Nayak said, “This graduation day is a reminder to let you know that a part of your journey is complete to begin with a new.” He urged the graduating students to communicate well stating, “No matter what profession you choose, it is important to articulate your thoughts in clarity which is one of the keys to achieve success in one’s life.”

The event also celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of students in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. These high achievers were honored with certificates of appreciation, acknowledging their dedication and hard work.

One of the emotional highlights of the day, Hearts Beat Loud, saw students share their cherished memories and heartfelt experiences from their time at the college. The personal stories resonated with the audience, evoking both applause and tears. A nostalgic short video, Walk Down the Memory Lane, transported the students back through their two years at the institution, capturing moments of joy, friendship, and growth.

In a meaningful and symbolic tradition, the exchange of flags marked the transfer of responsibilities from the outgoing batch to their juniors, ensuring the continuity of the college's cherished values and legacy.

The principal, Prof Ramachandra Bhat, alongside the teaching and non-teaching staff, graced the occasion with their presence, further uplifting the spirits of the students. Concluding the formal proceedings, the joint secretary of the student council, Pranitha, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event and the academic year. The event was hosted by Prithvi D’Souza, lecturer, maths department.

The day culminated in a lively photo session, where graduates, adorned in their caps and gowns, captured memories of joy and pride moments to treasure forever.
