Mangaluru, Mar 21: Even after nine years, justice has not been served in the murder case of RSS worker Vinayak Baliga. Efforts to shield the main conspirators behind his killing are being carried out in secret. If attempts are made to mislead the case and protect the real culprits, the fight for justice will only intensify, said senior rationalist Prof Narendra Nayak.
He was addressing a public meeting following a march from the Venkatramana Temple to Baliga’s residence, held on the ninth anniversary of Vinayak Baliga’s murder on March 21, 2025.





Speaking at the event, renowned psychiatrist P V Bhandary remarked that it was shocking that Vinayak Baliga, an RSS worker, was murdered after a government claiming to protect Hindus came to power at the Centre. He emphasized the need to continue the fight for justice, stating that only if justice is served in Baliga’s case will the BJP face defeat.
Activists Muneer Katipalla, Prakash Salian, and B Shekhar, along with DSS senior leader M Devadas, also addressed the gathering.
Among those present were Vinayak Baliga’s sisters Anuradha Baliga and Harsha Baliga, former mayor Ashraf, labor leaders Sunil Kumar Bajal, Yogesh Jappinamogaru, V Kukyan, Karunakar, DYFI leaders Naveen Konchadi, Jagadish Bajal, Nitin Kuttar, Manoj Vamanjoor, Charan Shetty Panjimogaru, DSS leaders Raghu Ekkar, Sadashiva, S L Pinto, Pramila Shaktinagar, Asunta D’Souza, Yogita Ullal, Bharati Bolara, social activists Sunil Bajilakeri, T C Ganesh, community organizer Vasudev Uchchil, Shyam Sundar, Prabhakar Kapikad, Dr Krishnappa Konchadi, Samarth Bhat, Srivatsa Shainai, Deekshith Attavar, Padmanabh Amin, Neetu Sharan, Rajesh Devadiga, Asha Nayak, Satish Pengal, Archana Acharya, Kala D Rao, Malini, and Ramani Umesh.
The meeting was presided over by Santosh Bajal, coordinator of the Federation of Patriotic Organizations, who also introduced the program. Manjula Nayak delivered the vote of thanks.
