Navi Mumbai, Mar 22: A massive fire broke out at the factory of Shubhada Polymers Company in Shiravane MIDC Nerul late Friday night The blaze erupted around 11 pm prompting a swift response from the fire brigade with 10 fire tenders rushing to the spot Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the flames and as per initial reports no casualties have been reported.
Thick clouds of black smoke and towering flames were seen billowing from the factory as fire personnel battled to douse the fire The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

In a similar incident a major fire broke out at the New Industrial Estate on Mahakali Caves Road Andheri East on Thursday afternoon leading to a six hour long firefighting operation The blaze erupted around 1.45 pm in a 500x1000 square foot area and rapidly spread prompting the Mumbai Fire Brigade to declare it a Level 3 major fire by 3.07 pm.
The firefighting operation involved 10 fire engines 8 jumbo tankers and other emergency resources Four firefighters sustained injuries after a wall collapse during the operation and were treated at a civic run hospital before being discharged.
Officials confirmed that the fire was fully contained by 7.32 pm though the exact cause remains under investigation Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of strict fire safety measures in industrial zones.
