Kundapur, Jan 17: “Rosary Credit Co-operative Society has been surging on the path to progress due to the trust of shareholders and customers. The success of the Rosary Credit Co-operative Society lies in a wise decision of the Board of Directors and the honest work of their employees,” said Fr Alban D’Souza, parish priest, Our Lady of Rosary parish.
Fr D’Souza was speaking after inaugurating the second branch of Rosary Credit Co-operative Society at Narayan Kripa building, Nadaguddeyangady, on Sunday January 15.
Rosary Credit Co-operative Society chairman Vinay A Pais, in his presidential address, said that the Society has been running on profit since the past 20 years. “It offers excellent customer service. The Society already has its own building in town, and the process is on to buy a plot in Byndoor to house another branch. It has earned the customers’ trust by advancing loans to all strata of people,” said Vinay Pais.
TP president Bellady Shankar Shetty inaugurated the strong room at the newly-opened branch.
Kundapur parish council secretary Dr Sony D’Costa inaugurated the computer facility.
Fr Joseph Machado, parish priest of St Anthony’s parish, Padukone, blessed the new branch. Nada gram panchayat president Clara Buthello distributed the fixed deposit certificates.
TP member Laxmi Chandan distributed the share certificates. Rosary Credit Co-operative Society former chairman Elsie G Lobo unveiled the portrait of its founder president, the late Alphonse Lobo.
Padukone parish council vice-president Stanislaus Lewis, Padukone Agricultural Co-operative Society chairman Satish M Nayak, and Padukone Catholic Sabha unit president Vincent D’Souza were the chief guests who conveyed best wishes to the Society.
The Society’s directors Philip D’Costa, Jacob D’Souza, Theodore D’Mello, and Felix D’Silva were present on the occasion.
The Society’s vice-president Precilla Menezes welcomed the gathering. Former chairman Martin Dias delivered the introductory address. Secretary Pascal D’Souza and branch manager Mabel D’Almeida conveyed best wishes. Director Stany D’Almeida proposed vote of thanks while former chairman Basil D’Souza compered the programme.
