Mangaluru, Mar 24: The Konkani Sangh of St Agnes College, Mangaluru, organized a ‘Konkani career guidance session for event presenters’ on March 22, aimed at guiding students on career opportunities while promoting the Konkani language.

The session, themed ‘Konkani Ulai, Konkani Pulai, Konkani Aamchi Avoi’, focused on career paths in event presentation and the role of Konkani in professional growth. Prof P Archibald Furtado, administrative coordinator, National Group of Educational Institutions, Barkur, served as the resource person, offering insights into career planning, opportunities in Konkani language and literature, personality development, and success stories. He emphasized the skills required to excel as a Master of Ceremonies (MC).

Melson D’Souza, coordinator of the Konkani Sangh, welcomed the gathering, and Seema Rakshitha D'Souza hosted the event. Sonia Fernandes delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of Dion Sam D'Souza, secretary of the Konkani Sangh, and the organizing team.

The interactive session saw enthusiastic student participation, making it a successful initiative in fostering career awareness while preserving Konkani heritage.
