Three days lenten retreat held at St John Church Marol

Mumbai, Mar 24: Divine Mercy Retreat Centre, Bejai, Mangaluru, under the guidance of its spiritual director Fr Richard Quadras (Capuchin), conducted a three-day Lenten mission on the theme "Barvaso Salvasavancha Vaten Choloita" at St John the Evangelist Church, Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai.

The retreat, organized by the Konkani Lenten Mission, featured three days of meditation in the Konkani language, led by Fr Richard Quadras. He emphasized that life should be lived in alignment with God’s will and dedicated to Him. He stressed that true liberation comes when one embraces God’s grace and unites with the divine.

Fr Richard Quadras began the mission with a thanksgiving prayer and a Mass in Konkani. St John the Evangelist Church parish priest Fr Anthony J Fernandez welcomed and introduced Fr Richard, while John Lobo read from the Bible.

The retreat was coordinated by Mathias Lobo from Borivali, under the leadership of Sunita A Soares. The choir was led by Sunita A Soares, Hilda Pereira, Leena Walter Lasrado, Rita D'Souza, Regina D'Silva, Rita Cutinho, Hilda Mathias, Andrea Soares, Glen Dias, and Matilda D'Souza. Kingstan Ashokraja and Prashant Serao provided musical accompaniment, while Sr Fatima Walado offered support.
