Mhow, Mar 25: In a landmark judgment, a local court has sentenced five accused to life imprisonment in the gang-rape case of an army officer’s friend. The incident, which took place in the cantonment town of Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, had sparked widespread outrage, prompting swift legal proceedings.
According to police sources, the survivor, a friend of an army officer, was allegedly abducted and subjected to sexual assault by the accused. Following the registration of an FIR, authorities acted promptly, leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.
