Mangaluru, Mar 25: On 21 March 2025, 160 students of II BCom from St Agnes College, accompanied by four faculty members, visited Kalbavi Food Pvt Ltd, a leading cashew processing industry. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to students about the cashew processing industry and its operations.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the company official. A detailed presentation was given about the various stages of cashew processing, including procurement, steaming, shelling, drying, peeling, grading, and packaging. The students observed the use of both manual labor and modern machinery in processing cashews efficiently. They also gained insights into quality control measures and export procedures.

The visit was highly informative, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Students actively interacted with the officials and clarified their queries. The experience provided valuable industry insights, helping them understand real-world business operations.
