Rohtak, Mar 26: In a shocking case of revenge, a man from Rohtak set his wife's lover on fire and buried the body in a seven-foot-deep pit after discovering their alleged affair.

According to police, the accused, enraged after learning about his wife’s relationship with their tenant, plotted the crime meticulously. He first confronted the victim, then overpowered him, doused him in a flammable substance, and set him ablaze. To cover up the act, he later buried the charred remains in a deep pit near his residence.

The crime came to light after locals grew suspicious of unusual activity in the area and alerted the authorities. Following an investigation, police exhumed the body and arrested the accused, who reportedly confessed to the crime during interrogation.
