New Delhi, Mar 26: In a shocking case of abduction and murder, a 15-year-old boy was kidnapped by three minors in Delhi for a ransom of Rs 10 lakh and later killed, police said on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Vaibhav Garg, was a Class 9 student from Mukherjee Nagar. His father, Vikas Garg, works as a driver.

According to officials, a PCR call was received at Wazirabad Police Station on March 24 regarding the boy’s kidnapping and subsequent murder. Investigations revealed that Vaibhav was last seen with three boys—two aged 17 and one aged 16—riding a bike near Jharoda Pushta Road. CCTV footage confirmed their movements, leading to their apprehension.

On March 23, the accused lured Vaibhav on a bike ride and took him to a secluded forested area near Bhalswa Lake. There, they attacked him with knives, killed him, and abandoned his body before fleeing. The next day, they used the victim’s SIM card to call his father and demand ransom.

Based on the suspects’ confession, police recovered Vaibhav’s body from the crime scene. Officials confirmed that legal proceedings are underway against the accused minors. The incident has sent shockwaves across the city, raising concerns over juvenile crime and safety.
