M'luru: Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike hosts interfaith Iftar with Al Qaswa Friends to promote amity

Mangaluru, Mar 26: An interfaith Iftar gathering was organized by Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike in collaboration with Al Qaswa Friends, Mangalore. The event aimed to promote communal harmony and strengthen interfaith relationships by bringing together people from diverse backgrounds.

Al Qaswa Friends, known for their continued service to the community, have been providing free assistance to the needy, further reinforcing their commitment to societal well-being. Their primary objective has always been to help those in need, especially hard-working individuals and families who may not be able to afford a proper Iftar. Through such initiatives, Al Qaswa Friends strive to ensure that no one goes hungry, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

The event was held in front of the Sahakari Sadan Complex, near Rao and Rao Circle, Mangalore. The gathering was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Nazeer, president of Al Qaswa Friends, Roy Castellino, president of Mother Teresa Vichara Vedika, Fr Sudeep Paul, director of Sandesha, Alwyn D'Souza, president of Catholic Sabha, Eric Lobo, an educationist, B N Devadiga, a senior member of Mother Teresa Vichara Vedika, Sr Arpitha, headmistress of Jerosa School, and H V Rao, a trade union leader.

D K Imtiyaz, a member leading this initiative from Al Qaswa Friends, welcomed the gathering and spoke about the importance of unity in society. He emphasized how such initiatives play a crucial role in building mutual respect and fostering togetherness. Fr Sudeep Paul shared his thoughts, highlighting that real conversations are built on respect and humility. Roy Castellino appreciated the efforts of Al Qaswa Friends, mentioning that such initiatives strengthen interfaith bonds in society.

H V Rao also spoke during the event. He emphasized that no religion teaches hatred and commended the organizers for creating a platform that encourages unity and peace.

The emcee for the event was Sunil Kumar Bajal, who smoothly guided the proceedings.

The event concluded with the breaking of the fast, where attendees participated in the Iftar, fostering an atmosphere of warmth, harmony, and togetherness. Through this initiative, the organizers succeeded in their mission of reaching out to the needy and providing support to those who required it the most.
