Sunil Gupta appointed director of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited

Udupi, Mar 27: The government has appointed Sunil Gupta as the director (operations and commercial) of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd, a PSU under ministry of railways.

Sunil Gupta a senior IRTS officer of 98 batch has been serving as the chief passengers transportation manager at Headquarters North Western Railway, Jaipur. He will assume the role for a tenure of five years.

The appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC)and minister of railways.

Sunil Gupta has experience of over 25 years of managing operations and business development over Indian Railways. He has rich experience of working in Railway divisions and headquarters. He also possesses experience of handling container business while working as Rajasthan head for operation and business development over container corporation of India Limited. He has also undergone various training including INSEAD Singapore, ICLIF, Kualalumpur, Malaysia, SouthWest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China and Antwerp Port Training Institute, Belgium.
