Udupi: Unidentified body found in decomposed state in Santhekatte

Udupi, Mar 27: A decomposed body of an unidentified man was found hanging from a mango tree in Santhekatte, Puttur, on March 26.

John Fernandes (73), the complainant, was cleaning his land when he noticed a foul odor about 100 meters from his house. Upon inspecting the source, he discovered the decomposed body hanging from the tree and immediately alerted the police.

Upon arrival, the police identified the deceased as a man aged between 40 and 45 years. Preliminary investigations suggest that he had died by suicide using a cable wire approximately two months ago.

A case has been registered at Udupi Town police station, and further investigations are underway.
