Karkala: Teenager dies by suicide after failing SSLC supplementary exam in Ajekar

Karkala, Mar 27: In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old boy ended his life by jumping into an open well after failing his SSLC supplementary examination.

The deceased, identified as Tejas (17), was the son of Ramesh (56) from Manjarabettu, Ellare village. He had previously failed in a few subjects in his 10th-grade examination. Following this, he underwent tuition in Ajekar and reappeared for the SSLC supplementary exam. Unfortunately, he failed again, which left him deeply distressed.

Between 12:30 AM and 10:30 AM on March 27, 2025, Tejas reportedly jumped into an open well located a short distance from his home. A case is registered in Ajekar police station.
