President Murmu extends Eid-ul-Fitr greetings, calls for brotherhood & compassion

New Delhi, Mar 31: President Droupadi Murmu on Monday conveyed her heartfelt wishes to the nation on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, highlighting the festival’s message of unity, compassion, and charity.

Taking to social media platform X, president Murmu greeted the people, especially the Muslim community, stating that Eid-ul-Fitr strengthens the spirit of brotherhood and inspires kindness. She wished for peace, prosperity, and happiness for all, urging people to embrace the path of goodness.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended his greetings, expressing hope that the festival would enhance harmony and joy in society. "May this festival bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to all," he posted.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari joined in, sharing his warmest wishes for peace, love, and blessings on the occasion. Similarly, Parliamentary Affairs minister Kiren Rijiju wished for happiness and prosperity for everyone, emphasizing the spirit of togetherness and gratitude.

Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan, is celebrated across India with great fervor. The festival signifies joy, generosity, and unity, as families and communities come together to share meals, exchange gifts, and offer prayers for harmony and well-being.
