Mangaluru: Eid-ul-Fitr celebration held at Expert College, Valachil

Mangaluru, Mar 31: U T Khader, speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with students at Expert PU College in Valachil, Mangaluru. As the chief guest, he inaugurated the Eid celebration, praising the institution for promoting inclusivity by celebrating all festivals. Khader emphasised the significance of Ramadan, highlighting its values of peace, tranquillity, and brotherhood. He encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and work together to build a strong nation.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Group of Institutions commended Khader as a symbol of secularism, emphasising the importance of unity and kindness among all individuals.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson of Expert Group of Institutions, highlighted that Expert celebrates all festivals equally. She urged the students to imbibe harmony as an inevitable social value.

Ankush N Nayak, director of Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions, welcomed the gathering.

Ustad Rafique Khan, trustee of Expert Group of Institutions, Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal of Expert PU College, Valachil, Subramanya Udupa, vice principal (Academics), Druthi V Hegde, vice principal (Admin), and other faculty members were present on the occasion.

Pranathi B Bhat, of the K1 batch, compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.

The event featured a cultural extravaganza presented by the students and a special Eid feast for all attendees.
