Jamnagar, Apr 2: A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Gujarat’s Jamnagar district on Wednesday while on a training mission. One pilot managed to eject safely, while a search operation is underway for the second pilot, officials said.
According to Superintendent of Police Premsukh Delu, the jet crashed in an open field at Suvarda village, about 12 km from Jamnagar city, and caught fire upon impact.

“The cause of the crash is yet to be determined. While one pilot ejected before the crash, the other remains missing. Police and firefighters have reached the spot and launched a search operation,” Delu stated.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of training missions, and an inquiry is expected to ascertain the cause of the crash. Further updates are awaited.
