New Delhi, Apr 4: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has successfully added 55 lac new customers over the last seven months, showcasing the company’s efforts to strengthen its market presence and improve service quality.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Scindia highlighted the significant growth in BSNL's customer base, attributing the achievement to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing network coverage, introducing affordable plans, and upgrading technological infrastructure.

“BSNL’s consistent growth in subscriber numbers is a testament to the government’s commitment towards reviving the public sector telecom giant. Efforts are being made to modernize services and provide seamless connectivity across the country,” Scindia stated.

The Minister further emphasized that BSNL is continuously working towards expanding its 4G network and preparing for the rollout of 5G services in the near future. He expressed confidence that the company’s strong performance would contribute positively to India’s telecom landscape.

According to official data, the addition of 55 lac new subscribers marks a substantial achievement for BSNL, particularly in a highly competitive telecom market dominated by private players.
