Muzaffarnagar, Apr 6: In a distressing incident reported from the Civil Lines area, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped in a car and subsequently subjected to rape by two men who also recorded the assault, according to police reports released on Sunday.

Circle Officer Raju Kumar Sav stated that a formal case has been registered against two individuals identified as Rizwan and Abaz. The charges levied against them include relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the stringent Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to the complaint lodged by the girl's brother, the incident unfolded on April 1st near Company Bagh on Meerut Road. The complainant stated that his sister was waiting for their mother when the two accused arrived in a car and forcibly abducted her.

The perpetrators then allegedly took the girl to a hotel where they committed the act of rape. Furthermore, they reportedly filmed the assault and threatened the victim with severe repercussions should she disclose the incident to anyone.

The traumatized girl eventually managed to return to her parents' residence. However, gripped by fear, she remained silent about the horrific ordeal until she fell ill, prompting her to reveal the incident, police officials confirmed.

Circle Officer Sav indicated that the accused individuals are currently absconding, and law enforcement agencies are actively engaged in efforts to apprehend them.

He further stated that the girl has been sent for a necessary medical examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
