Media Release

Mangaluru, Apr 8: A free physiotherapy camp aimed at promoting women's health was successfully held on April 4 and 5 at the Physiotherapy OPD of Srinivas Hospital Mukka.

The camp, organised by Institute of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University in collaboration with the department of OBG, Srinivas Hospital Mukka, offered screening, consultations, advice and therapeutic exercises tailored to common issues faced by women, such as back pain, joint problems, antenatal care and post-pregnancy recovery, menstrual disorders and incontinence.

Women who attended, benefited from personalised assessments and treatment plans provided by physiotherapists. The event also featured informative sessions on posture correction, pelvic floor health, and exercises to improve flexibility and strength.

The camp's organisers expressed their commitment to raising awareness about the importance of physiotherapy in managing and preventing health conditions that disproportionately affect women. Participants praised the initiative for its accessibility and valuable information.

This event is part of an ongoing effort to promote wellness and physical health among women in the community, with plans for similar camps in the future.
