Patna, Apr 8: Former IPS officer and Bihar’s famed ‘supercop’ Shivdeep Lande has officially stepped into politics with the launch of his own party Hind Sena and has announced his plan to contest all 243 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Addressing the media in Patna on Tuesday, Lande said his new political outfit aims to “transcend caste lines” and “fight for the rights of Bihar,” focusing on bringing youth into leadership roles. "This will be a platform for people from every religion and community who believe in humanity, justice and service," he stated.

The name Hind Sena, he explained, draws inspiration from his days in uniform. “Every action I began as an IPS officer started with 'Jai Hind’. That spirit is now reflected in the name of my party,” he said.
Claiming to have visited nearly every district in Bihar except Bettiah and Bagaha in recent weeks, Lande highlighted the persistent lack of basic infrastructure in rural areas. “Even after over 70 years of independence, many villages still don't have proper roads or housing. It’s time for change, and democracy is the way,” he asserted.
Lande, who has declared himself the national president of Hind Sena, said the party will continue its outreach efforts at the grassroots level and hinted that while other candidates may contest under the party’s banner, “Behind every candidate, the name will be that of Shivdeep Lande.”
The party's campaign will focus on gathering public opinion and raising awareness about local issues in the lead-up to the assembly elections.
