Manasa Rehabilitation & Training Centre, Pamboor holds convocation ceremony

Media Release

Kaup, Apr 9: Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre, Pamboor held its first convocation ceremony on April 8.

Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves, vicar general, Udupi diocese, in his address said, “This day would definitely be a wonderful day because the hard work done by this institute has transformed it into a wonder situation where seven of its students are getting graduated and walking out of the annals of this institute, not only with skills, knowledge, and required education but also a huge confidence in mind. Hard work undoubtedly is a need of the hour, but working with honesty would yield confidence among special children.”

Dr Gerald Pinto, the joint secretary of MRTC and the convocation officer, presenting certificates to the students, said, “Parting is a part of life, but the need for being independent and joining the mainstream of the society is the priority for these students. With the parting of these seven students the centre would still walk with them and at times of need they can always turn back and seek assistance.

Expressing his joy over the occasion Dr Rohit Kundar, the vice president of PTA exclaimed that this day is surely a day of victory for the institute, because in a special school what supersedes all the knowledge is his strength and determination of the mind than the body among the teachers and more so of the Management. The patience bestowed upon the students in this institute is commendable, it is narrated.

Dr Edward Lobo, founder managing trustee spoke aptly on the occasion and expressed his joy over the growth of the Institute, with a lot of initial hardships. He thanked all those individuals who stood by the institute at times of need.

Henry Menezes, president, in his presidential address, thanked and appreciated the collaboration of everyone in making the mission of the centre possible.

Vanitha D’Souza, parent, thanked the institute for moulding the students with patience and love.

In the ceremony seven students who completed their training at Manasa were awarded certificates and were honoured. Manish was awarded the best outgoing student of the year 2025.

Among the outgoing students Yathish and Avinash spoke on the occasion and thanked everyone responsible for their growth at the centre and Chirag Pai applauded the companionship of his seniors who graduated .
