Udupi, Apr 11: Niraamaya Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS), a unit of Sri Vishnumurthy Hayavadana Swami Education Society (R) observed World Health Day at SMVITM campus Bantakal, on April 8.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal CEO, Sri Sode Vadiraja Matha Educational Institutions Udupi and spoke on world health day theme and healthy foundation for societal wellbeing.
Dr Thirumaleshwar Bhat, principal SMVITM spoke about the importance of physical activity for a healthy life.
Dr Naveen M Ballal, director of NIHS was present on the stage. Students and faculties of NIHS and SMVITM were present.
Students of NIHS exhibited a role play on World Health Day theme, 'Healthy beginnings hopeful futures'.
Prizes were distributed for the winners who have participated in the annual sports meet which was held on March 19.
Chaithra welcomed the gathering. Vinisha proposed a vote of thanks and Varsha compered the event.
