Noida, Apr 12: A tragic incident was reported from Noida on Friday night, where a 38-year-old software engineer, Umesh Kumar, was found dead in a hotel room under mysterious circumstances.

According to police, Umesh, a native of Hathras and resident of Awas Vikas colony, had checked into Wamson Hotel in Sector 27 on Thursday along with a woman, believed to be his friend. The woman told police that she discovered Umesh hanging from the ceiling fan when she came out of the washroom.

Preliminary investigations suggest the duo had an argument before the incident. Umesh was reportedly going through a divorce after separating from his wife. No suicide note has been recovered from the room.
