Ranchi, Jan 18 (IANS): Suspected Maoists killed seven people by slitting their throats in Jharkhand's Khuti district Wednesday, police said, adding the victims' heads were also crushed with stones.
"Seven people have been killed in Ghaghra village. Their throats were slit and their heads have been crushed with stones," a senior police officer in Khuti told IANS over telephone Wednesday.
The officer declined to say if the dead were villagers or rival Maoists.
Khuti, around 45 km from Ranchi, is home to two Maoist groups -- Communist Party of India-Maoist and People's Liberation Front of India.
