Ronald Almeida takes charge as president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh

Udupi, Apr 14: Ronald Almeida of Udyavar parish officially assumed office as the president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh (R) on April 13 during a ceremony held at Amulya Hall, Anugraha pastoral centre, Santhekatte.

The Catholic Sabha, with a strong base of around 18,000 members across Udupi district, plays a vital role in community engagement and social service.

The newly appointed team includes:

Spiritual advisor: Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves

Immediate past president: Santhosh Cornelio (Mount Rosary)

President-elect: Louis D’Souza (Sastan)

Vice president: Soloman Alvaris (Karkala Town)

Secretary: Joel D’Almeida (Brahmavar)

Treasurer: Garfield Urban Lewis (Brahmavar)

Joint secretary: Sonu Sequeira (Miyar)

Joint treasurer: Prathima D’Souza (Hirgan)

Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves, the vicar general of the Udupi diocese and spiritual director, extended his gratitude to the outgoing team for their dedicated service and congratulated the newly appointed members. He encouraged the team to continue working earnestly for the upliftment and betterment of the community.

During the programme, Catholic Sabha Udupi Varado office bearers were felicitated for their support in sponsoring the monthly magazine Amcho Sandesh, and Kallianpur Varado was specially recognized for garnering the highest number of subscriptions.
