Holy Family Church, Omzoor stages spiritual Konkani drama 'Mary Magdalene'

Mangaluru, Apr 14: The Holy Family Church, Omzoor parish, presented a Konkani spiritual drama titled ‘Mary Magdalene’, with a tagline ‘Maggie with Sauce’ on April 13. The drama was written and conceptualized by Fr Alwyn Serrao and brought to life by the talented members of Team Astitva, Mangaluru, under his direction.

A short stage programme which welcomed and honoured the performing team, preceded the performance. Parish priest Fr William Menezes Presided over the programme and was joined by other dignitaries, including Arther D’Souza, vice president of the Parish Council; Dafny Lewis, secretary of the Parish Council; Elroy Saldanha, coordinator of various commissions; and Sr Luciana, superior of St Charles Borromeo Convent.

The drama was powerfully enacted and captivated the audience, drawing warm appreciation from the large crowd that included parishioners and guests from neighbouring parishes. The compelling performances and meaningful message left a deep impression on all present.

Following the play, audience came forward to share heartfelt feedback and compliments with the cast and crew. Anitha delivered the vote of thanks, while Dafny Lewis compered the event with great enthusiasm and grace.

The evening was a memorable blend of spirituality, art, and community spirit.
