Beltangady, Apr 14: Holy Redeemer English Medium School celebrated Ambedkar Jayanthi on April 14.
Dr Bhimarao Ambedkar, the Dalit icon known as the Father of the Indian Constitution, was remembered on his 135th Birth anniversary today.
The programme began with a prayer song sung by the teachers.
Floral tribute to the portrait of Dr Ambedkar was paid by the headmaster and all staff members.
Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto remembered the sacrifices, hardships and achievements of Dr Ambedkar.
Programme was compered by teacher Preetha D'Souza. Programme concluded with light refreshment.
